Color Correction

Only 15¢ a foot!
As your movie film ages, the dyes in the movie film will begin to fade; taking a lifetime of memories with it. Movie film wasn't meant to last forever, and the fading can start to occur within a few years of being developed. The fading of the dyes in movie film is due to a chemical change of the movie film dye, light exposure & temperature. We can restore the color in your movie film and bring it back to life.

Movie Film with Sound

We transfer movie film with audio soundtracks, just select the audio option on the order form. The cost is 10¢ per foot.
If you are unsure if your movie film has an audio track, you can tell just by looking at your film strip. We transfer Super8 & 16mm film with audio soundtracks. Super 8 film has a magnetic sound strip that runs along the side of the film. 16mm Film will have an optical sound strip, which also runs along the side of the film, and you can see the audio lines instead of a magnetic strip. If you are unsure what type of movie film you have, or the type of audio track it has, feel free to call us and we can help you determine what you have 1-800-776-8357.
Splicing Film with Sound
Industry standard is to splice smaller reels onto larger ones to make transferring movie film to digital more efficient. When we transfer movie film with sound it takes significantly more time to set up each reel to ensure that all of the audio is captured. Due to this, if you need to make a special request that we do not splice your smaller reels onto a larger reel, there will be a $5 per reel fee. To learn more about why this is necessary, click here.
Frame by Frame - 100% Film Capture

Unlike other companies, we transfer all our film frame by frame with an enlarged film gate that allows us to capture 100% of the film. Other companies that use real time transfers offer a lower quality transfer and lose 20-30% of the films image.

Frame by Frame Transfers
All our movie film transfers are done frame by frame. What does that mean? That means that we digitally capture each individual frame, which ensures that the black bars on the top & bottom of your movie film does not appear in your video. This gives you a smooth flicker free video.
Cleaning & Lubricating Film
Prior to transferring any movie film, all film will be cleaned and lubricated. This will clear off years of dust, dirt & fingerprints giving you the best transfer possible. We lubricate the film so that it can be more easily fed in the machine to prevent brittle film from breaking.
We also repair broken sprockets and splice when necessary.
